We are committed to protecting your privacy.
This privacy policy covers the processing of personal data that CDA Herts might hold or collect when you e-mail us, or when you complete and submit an online form on our website or return written forms, including surveys or attend an event.
The personal data that we collect is only used by us to legitimately undertake our business activities and to facilitate our communications with you and to enhance your overall experience with us. This includes our membership, meetings and events, surveys and questionnaires and general email correspondence.
Your Data is securely stored, will only be processed according to our reasons for collecting and storing it and will be deleted if we no longer require it. Your data will never be shared without your knowledge and consent.
When completing forms you may be asked for personal information such as name, address, postcode etc. It is only when you supply this type of information that you can be personally identified.
Information may be collected:
- to fulfill your request for information or services
- as input to improving our services
- as part of the process of consultation
CDA Herts holds, processes and disposes of personal data in accordance with relevant legislation relating to data protection, currently principally the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 amended January 2021. We will not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, or share it other than for the stated purpose for which permission was originally given.
We will only pass on your data to a third party with your express permission and only on the terms for which you have agreed for it to be shared. (For example, if you have expressed interest in affordable housing and have given permission for your contact details to be shared, we may pass your details to a relevant housing provider).
Subject Access Request
You have the right to access your personal data that we hold and can do this verbally or in writing and we must respond within one month.
The Right to Object
You have the right to object to how we process your personal data and can do this verbally or in writing and we must respond within one month. You can also request to have your personal data erased from our systems.
Withdrawing permission for data sharing
If you have previously given consent you can withdraw your permission for sharing you personal data at any time.

What about cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies enable some websites to recognise your logons and passwords when you return to a website. The CDA Herts website does not use cookies and therefore no personal data is being collected by this website unless you provide it yourself.
